Bull and a China Shop is where creativity (and a touch of ‘tism) runs wild—sometimes producing impulsive one-offs, sometimes derailing an entire day’s work.

This is a pleasure project, not a factory. I'm trying to move deliberately slowly, so the spark that got me into this messy business in the first place doesn’t burn out.

Everything’s made as one-offs or in very small runs. If something becomes a favourite, I’ll remake it to order—just give me 4 weeks to do it properly..

Commissions

Fancy a one-off, made-for-you piece? Got a phrase or idea you want to collab on? Want to put your stamp on something?

Commissions are always welcome. A 50% deposit is taken upfront, with the balance due once your piece arrives safely in your hands. Timings vary depending on the work, but commissions typically take six weeks to two months — because good pottery, like getting old, can’t be rushed.

Sustainable prices

I only fire what I actually think you’ll love and use, so between us—we’re not being wasteful. Sure, running a kiln in a climate crisis is grim, but your clay’s probably had a couple of past lives anyway.

Handmade pottery isn’t cheap. Two brutal firings, terrifyingly expensive kit, and a painfully slow process mean these pieces are weird, lovable, conversation-starting, and still do what they’re supposed to do.
